Contrary to what many people may expect, in 2001 the Carriers responded to calls from Councils and established a standard set of documents which now provide a more consistent approach from the industry. Now, all licensed mobile network carriers must comply with the requirements of the Australian Communication Industry Forum code and the number of people being consulted regarding new facilities has increased significantly.
